Hi! We are staying at Wengen 8/27-8/31 and I’m looking to book a hotel. We are a bit late in the game and we are finding some locations booked up. However, from reading suggestions on the forum, the Hotel Alpenruhe, Hotel Alpenrose and Beausite Park Hotel seem like good choices. Does anyone have a recommendation or any comments regarding these? Thank you for your help.

We've stayed in Hotel Regina in Wengen and can't imagine a more beautiful location in all the world. Honestly.

Out of those 3, I'd pick Beausite. Alpenrose requires a pretty hefty uphill/downhill walk to/from the train station/town. Alpenruhe is in the area where some pretty major construction is going on. Beausite still requires a 10 minute walk to/from the train station, but it's not as steep and there isn't construction back there.

We stayed at the Maya Caprice. Perfect location with no awful hills to climb.
I found the altitude made hill climbing remarkably difficult, considering I live in a hilly suburb at home.
We had spectacular views over the Lauterbrunnen Valley from our room's balcony, there was an excellent restaurant on site, right in the town and about a 30 second walk to the station.
