My family of 4 (kids are older teens) is traveling to Les 3 Vallées to ski over New Years. We will have 2 nights between when our ski rental ends and when we fly out from Geneva. Last year we flew home through Amsterdam and we loved the completely different atmosphere experience after spending 5 days in a mountain town. We have to be back at the airport by 8:30 am so we don’t want to be anywhere more than a 2 hour drive from Geneva airport. We have been to Geneva and don’t have much interest in returning. Thought about Lyon, Annecy, Lausanne, Bern, and a few other spots. Slight preference for a Swiss town but not a deal breaker. Open to pretty lake or mountain hotel/resorts as well. Our kids are experienced travelers and are open to lot of things so no worries about entertainment for them.
