My husband and I are planning a rail train trip in Switzerland in May. We will be flying into and out of Zurich. Any recommendations for a reasonable hotel (3* in Switzerland would be acceptable). Thanks all.

Are you set on Zurich? Most prefer to stay in Lucerne as it’s a quick just over an hour train ride to and from the airport.

The previous suggestion to stay in Lucerne is would be a good one to consider. However if you'd prefer to stay in Zürich, especially just before your flight home, you could consider this hotel - https://fredhotels.ch/en/fred-hotel-zurich-hauptbahnhof/ . It's right across form the main station so only about a five minute walk, and the airport is only about 10 minutes by train. I found the hotel very comfortable and it's in a great location. Some of the city tours depart from a parking lot right across from the hotel.
