We're starting our trip in Nice ending in Paris. In between we are considering Annecy and Chamonix France and Geneva or Bern Switzerland. Bern seems to be outrageously expensive to stay in (or perhaps that's all of Switzerland). Does anyone have hotel recommendations?
We're trying to decide the order in which we should stay in any of the top two above worth seeing (we have only three night in this area before going to Paris). So coming from Nice and departing to Paris from this area where is it easiest to get high speed trains? And what is the best way to travel between these towns? We were thinking about renting a car if that's the easiest way to travel the area? Thoughts?
