Hotel recommendations for Wengen-best view of Mountains and Valley

Just wanted to get some input on what your favorite places to stay is in Wengen and why. We are staying there for our first time for 2 nights next Month. We are looking for a balcony with a view that is hard to get away from. Would like to see both the Mountains and the Valley from the balcony of our room. If they hotel has a pool, or spa/hot tub/sauna even better. Can't wait to get there.

Thanks,

Renee

Hotel Bellevue in Wengen has great views of the mountain and the valley as well as rooms with a balcony. We discovered this hotel on a walk and stepped inside to check it out even though we did not stay there. It is in a beautiful location and was welcoming and cozy.

The difference between Schönegg and Bellevue is that the former is in the village, so you do have mountain views, but not the valley. Being in the village you are only a short stroll from the cable car and railway station.
Bellevue is outside the village centre, so you will walk a bit more, but it is quieter and in a very good spot. Great views and atmosphere.

We stayed at Hotel Shonegg last month and the views from the balcony were beautiful. We loved the location, so close to everything. Would definitely stay there again!

We stayed at Alpenruhe Kulm, and it had wonderful views of the mountains and valley from the balcony & bed. Excellent breakfast, too.

Thanks for your advice everyone! I would also like a pool or spa....was looking at Arenas Resort, Beausite park hotel and Sunstar. Anyone stay at any of these?

I could be wrong, but I don’t think you’ll find many spa people here. 😊 I’d suggest checking reviews on Booking.com. I look for hotels that have a rating in the mid-8 or higher range.

I have yet to try it, but having done some extensive research to prepare for winter holidays, Beausite Park Hotels is definitely a cut above the other two, if you can afford it - it is significantly more expensive, at least in the winter.

We stayed at Arenas Resort in 2019 for 5 nights and had a great stay. Rooms are not fancy, but more than adequate. Close to the train station, great views, extensive breakfast and a wonderful spa/pool area after full days of sightseeing. We would definitely choose it again.
