Hotel NI-MO in Zurich

Has anyone stayed at the Hotel NI-MO in Zurich. Would love to hear what you thought. This will be for my daughter and her new husband. They plan on two nights there.

Thank you,
Judy

judy,

I haven't stayed there, but it looks nice and gets good ratings on Trip Advisor. It's some distance from the main station, so they'll probably have to use a Taxi when hauling luggage.

Can we ask why you/they chose Zurich? If sightseeing then best to stay elsewhere. Lucerne is less than an hour away by train and a very nice place for tourists.

My daughter said they'd like to go to Zurich - but, sounds like staying in Lucerne and taking the train up for the day may be the way to go.

If so, andy suggestions for Lucerne hotels, B&B, Spa, special independent hotel?

If they really want to stay in Zürich, I'd suggest making it at least two nights. One night stays only allow a few hours to look around, so hardly worth the effort. I agree with a previous reply that Lucerne would be a wonderful choice!

If they're not set on the Zürich hotel you mentioned and want to be closer to the station, I'd highly recommend Hotel Walhalla. It's about a two minute walk to the station, and the lot where the local tours depart from is right across the street. There's also a Tram stop right in front of the hotel. It's a very convenient location!

They changed their mind based on several posts here and reading. They will stay in Lucerne and do a day trip to Zurich. Any hotel information for Lucerne appreciated.
