What is the difference between a Business Queen Bed Room and a deluxe double bed room in Switzerland? This is at the Best Western in Bern.

Ask the hotel about the bed width in centimeters. A US queen size equivalent will be 160 cm. Bed nomenclature is about as precise and informative as airline class or detergent box size nomenclature, i.e. the Wild West. ;-)

I believe the “business queen” has a single large mattress, while the deluxe double has two singles put together, making a wider bed—more like a King in the US. You can see this on the photos on the website.
The two separate mattresses are common in Swiss hotels; you will each get your own duvet. But remember to “mind the gap” if you are inclined to cuddle.
You can get more details on the rooms by looking on booking.com. Room size is different—-215 sq.ft for the business room versus 269 sq.ft for the deluxe double.

We like that hotel and are going back in September. Deluxe double was my choice, but it is more expensive.
