How convienent is it to resturants, cog and train stations? I have a bit of a knee problem just curious if there are taxis by any chance? Thanks!

Maybe you would care to tell us where this hotel is located. I assume it is in Switzerland, but other than, that I have no clue.

The Alpenrose is located downhill about a quarter mile from the train station. Call them on arrival and they will come and pick you up in their electric vehicle. You may be able to get rides from them at other times as well, at least as far as the train station.
Most of the restaurants are located on Dorfstrasse near the train station.

You'll want to confirm with them how often they are willing to transport you to the train and how long that process of reservation/waiting takes. There are e-taxis in Wengen but they aren't cheap. Perhaps you'd prefer to stay closer to the train station so you don't have to rely on taxis to get you around, as Wengen is designed to be a walking village. Hotels like the Silberhorn, Regina, Maya Caprice, Arenas Resort Victoria-Lauberhorn, Alpine Hotel Wengen would all be easier for you. Or the Baren is a short walk but not nearly as downhill as Alpenrose.
