Hotel Alpenrose Wengen / Chalet Erika

Has anyone stayed at the Alpenrose Wengen apartments also known as Chalet Erika? We are traveling to Wengen with our teenage children (this summer) and felt this may give us more space. Is it better to stay in the main hotel?

I haven’t stayed there, but do know that the Alpenrose is a decent downhill/uphill walk from the train station, grocery and shops, so you need to be ok with a bit of an extra paved “hike” every day if you’re staying down there.
