Has anyone ever done the hot air balloon rides through Ballons du Leman that leaves from near Lausanne? Riding in a balloon is on my bucket list, but wondering if this is the country to do it in. Thoughts?

Switzerlard is very expensive. To see that area, I have done the Lavaux Express little ride and that was a lot of fun and you get to taste the local wines (https://www.lavauxexpress.ch/en/).
If you want a balloon ride, the Capadoccia region in Turkey is famous for it and cheaper than Switzerland.
