Hello, My son and I are planning on spending 2 days in the Soglio area. We would like the hike the trail called La Panoramica. The hike is about 5 hours. We would not be able to do an out and back in a day. My question is has anyone done this? If so, where do you start and end up? Is there transportation back to Soglio? I have checked with tourism and they have been vague. I want to know if it would be best to take a bus out and hike in or the other way around. Thanks!

There are hourly (more or less) buses between Soglio and Maloja, with a single connection, taking 47 minutes.
Looks to me like it is quicker and mostly down hill if you start at Maloja and head to Soglio.
