Hiking Poles for rent?

I had done a bit of looking and came up empty. I wound up renting some here and am having them shipped to us before we leave. But summer rentals can be out of stock since it is busy season. I was able to find some at lowergear.com.

If necessary, I was planning to buy them there and then donating them to...someone before I returned home.

I had a pole break last year. Ended up renting two poles from the mountain gear store in Wengen and they were nicer than my poles. Very cheap to rent. Am certain there are other places in the BO. We were staying in Wengen so it was easy peasy to rent and drop off.

When I try to set up a rental on the Alpia Sport Lauterbrunnen website, it says that the dates I want (in July) are invalid. I seem to recall that some places don't do summer rentals, as they're more for skiing season.

Does anyone know if it's possible to rent poles in Lauterbrunnen (or Murren) during the summer?

You may want to check with your Hotel, some have hiking poles you can use during your stay.

I've emailed. Maybe they'll point me somewhere even if they don't have poles!

I thought I had heard otherwise, but Stäger Sport shop in Mürren supposedly rents poles during the summer. 10 CHF/day. FYI!
