My 7th trip to the Lauterbrunnen Valley. I've done many of the hikes on both the Wengen and Murren sides of the valley but not his fairly tough hike to Tanzbodeli.
Has anyone of the Forum done this one?
If so, is it very difficult and dangerous?

We have not done it ourselves. I tried looking it up on the web, and there are many discrepancies in terms of difficulty and elevation gain, probably because some of the routes start in Gimmelwald but end somewhere else. This one seems to be the most overtime:
They say the ascents is 800 meters, which agrees with the difference between the summit (2100 meters) and the elevation of Gimmelwald (1367). It is described as very steep.
One of the Gimmelwald websites also addresses this hike, without numbers with respect to distance or elevations gain, but simply saying the ascent is “an exhausting climb for an hour and a half”.

However, if you are a fit and experienced hiker, you know that 800 meters of ascent is of itself not all that hard; in the classification of system used by our Seattle Mountaineers hiking club that is “moderate” and not “strenuous”. But maybe the steepness and the rugged terrain make it particularly difficult.
It looks like a lovely viewpoint, and FWIW the name Tanzbödeli means “dance floor”. So take some music and dance when you get there.
