I am not having any luck purchasing a HFC online!
I have contacted my CC holder to set up 3D secure feature, but still get an error message in ty he SBB app.
I am not keen on waiting at the airport SBB for hours (as on last trip) to purchase from the counter.
Yes, I have an SBB account.

We could not purchase online. We did it at the train station. 20 minute wait.

Good to hear the wait was not impossibly long.
In Sept '22, we waited TWO HOURS at the SBB Zurich Airport!

I had the same problem where SBB said that the charge was denied or failed. Same problem with another credit card. I called customer service at one of those credit cards and after two attempts where the charge failed (while the credit card rep monitored the transaction), a supervisor at the credit card put in an override to stop suspicious transactions just for a few minutes and the charge went through.

Yes, I tried this with BOTH CC's. Still no success. Thanks! Also, is the Berner Oberland Pass through a different site? I see 'berneseoberlandpass.ch'?

Yes, that website is the official site for the pass, so you can purchase through there. I'm assuming you've tried the website AND the app? Note you can also use Apple Pay, etc. through the app, so perhaps try that. We had some friends this summer who couldn't get their CC to work through the app, but used Apple Pay through it just fine - even with the same CC attached.
