The fastest train connections at How to Look Up Train Schedules and Routes Online have border crossings (and train connections) at either Geneve or Basel. The price of flying from Marseille (to either of those cities or to Zurich) could compare pretty well with train options; see www.skyscanner.com.
Whether you arrive to the border by flight or by train, a Swiss Travel Pass that fits your 3- or 4-day visit is often a good value, with coverage or discounts on higher-mountain transport, not just your travel between cities.
