I would love suggestions for our travel. We are attending a meeting in Montreux , Switzerland and leaving there on July29th. We would love to see the most interesting and beautiful towns/or scenery and not sure whether to take a car or train. We know we want to visit Salzburg and our trip home we will be flying
out of Munich on Aug 4th. Could you give us suggestions on train vs car and where we may want to visit besides Salzburg. We are in our mid sixties and I am not able to hike but otherwise fine. Thanks so much.
From Munich we took one day for a trip to Dachau and another to King Ludwig's castles....very easy and very doable. While in Munich we also took a bike tour of the city with Fat Tire Bikes and it is a fun way to get an good introduction to the city (any city) while also visiting a beer garden. You will not actually go into any of the sites but you will get a lot of information, history and overview and then you can decided what you want to go back and visit on your own. We are in our mid 60's but fairly fit so it is not too strenuous!!!
Thank you very much.
