We land in Zurich on Sunday, July 6. Our first stop for 2 nights is Appenzell. I added Appenzell specifically for hiking but looks like the 2 days we’ll be there have a lot of rain according to Meteo Swiss. Wondering if we should just skip and go directly to Pontresina and add 2 nights to our 5 night stay. The weather looks much better and might be easier to go straight there from Zurich.

Never trust the weather apps. :-) They will always show rain.
I always use 3 weather apps for Switzerland (meteo swiss, meteo blue, and weather on iphone) and the majority of the time they are all wrong. It’s so frustrating!! Prepare for the worst, but just know the weather will probably be better than it looks.

This summer I have not seen an accurate next day forecast. Same day forecasts are useful. but what the weather will be tomorrow we will see tomorrow...
