I'd go with the left side. On the right side, the sun (hope its out) would be coming through the panoramic windows with some glare. On the left side, that sun will be illuminating the landscape. In the "Rhine Gorge" section between Disentis/Muster and Chur, best view is on the left.
Thanks sam for the advice.

Yes, I remember the left side fondly.
That is a long ride. Don't be surprised when you get to Brig if you have to find your train in the middle of the street.
Because that is where you will find it, outside the main station entrance.
So left side it is..
But Middle of the street ?? 🤔why..is the platform too small ?
what platform?
I expect that the real reason is that the narrow gauge tracks (think Durango and Silverton) are perpendicular to the standard gauge ones in the station.
And no, there is no platform.
Here is the trafimage map of the Brig train station. Note tracks 11-14 in front of the station along with the caption "Bahnhof Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn". That is who operates the Glacier Express in eastern Switzerland.
