I would love your help in planning this trip! I will be based in Zurich for 6 days and I leave in a couple of days!
I have been to Lucerne, Rhine falls and Liechtenstein.
Will need to do day trips and cant figure out what is really doable and what train tickets i need for them?
Would like to do zermatt for matterhorn, Jungfraujoch, Interlaken and montreux.
Unless some where else is a must.
Any advice is greatly appreciated!

If you really need to see the Matterhorn and can only do it on a day trip from Zurich, the best practice is to check the weather the night before and then again the day of before going all the way. Use only this weather report site it is one of the most accurate

Also since it takes over 3 hours to get there from Zurich, if you are able, catch the train as early as possible so you arrive before 11 am.
You can search the train schedule to everywhere at https://www.sbb.ch/en, and always check the weather before going to see or up to any mountain.

Sounds like you don't think the Matterhorn is worth it with a base in zurich?

The long trip to Zermatt means weather there may be quite different once you arrive!
Day trips from Zurich:
-Zug- a lakefront town. Famous for Kirschtorte (cherry cake) and Kirschwassser (cherry water/Schnapps)
-Rapperswil - another scenic lakefront town, just 30 minutes from Zurich!
