Help plan my Switzerland 4 night Adventure itinerary

Hi. My family of 4 (2 adults, boys ages 11 and 15)will be traveling to Switzerland in late July, and will spend 3 1/2 days (4 nights). We bought a 4 day Swiss pass. We will arrive late afternoon and travel from Geneva to Montreux and will stay at the Fairmont Montreux. Here's what activities I would like to do
Day 1 - Montreux (early evening arrival)- any suggestions for dinner with kids?
Day 2-
- de Chillon Castle (1st day morning)
- afternoon - Trummelbach Falls
Day 3 - Canyoning in Interlaken/Lauterbrennan valley
Day 4 - Mt. Rigi or Mt. Pilatus and Luzern walking tour (late train to Zurich to catch 9 a.m. flight back to US next morning)

First, is this itinerary reasonable? Second, where should I stay on nights 2 and 3 (same place/different place) to minimize travel time and maximize adventure time? Any and all suggestions welcome.

I would skip the Trummelbach Falls. The Lauterbrunnen Valley is full of wonderful sights, but the Falls were the least interesting to me. In fact, I would pick either Luzern-area or Lauterbrunnen Valley, not both. Three & a half days is not a lot of time since you will eat up most of that in train time and logistics of moving between locations.

If you arrive early enough why not visit the Chillon Castle your first afternoon. They close at 6pm, I think. Here is their website here. It is a beautiful and quick walk from Montreux to Chillon Castle. Your boys will enjoy the walk and the castle! Then the next morning go to Lauterbrunnen and stay 2 nights. You will have most of a day plus a full day in Lauterbrunnen Valley. We stayed at Hotel Silberhorn. Beautiful views and comfortable rooms. Breakfast and dinner was good too! Lots to do hiking, take the cable car up the mountain, and the falls. Then off to Luzern for your last night and your walking tour.
