Help needed with swiss pass

We are a family of four. 2 adults n 2 kids aged 11 and 6 planning a swiss trip. Itinerary is as follows
- Land in zurich, local site seeing
- Day 2 n 3 based on zurich. Rhine falls n mt.titlis
- Day 4 to Grindelwald
- Day 5, 6, 7 base in Grindelwald. Cover First, Mann lichen, Harder kulm, Phingstegg, Domodosola, Montreaux,
- Day 8 back to Zurich towards Amsterdam
Or is there any other exit point ?

I infer a Swiss half fare card for 7 days with a family card and Bernese Oberland pass for 3/4 days will be ideal.?
Please share thoughts

Thanks

Half Fare Card, Family Card and a Bernese Oberlan Pass looks like a good combination indeed.

How are you continuing to Amsterdam? If by train you will exit through Basel. No need to go back to Zurich.

Initial thoughts were to take flight from Zurich. Will evaluate train options to see savings in time and money. It might however include a lot of change of stations in a single travel I suppose? Grindelwald- Interlaken- Basel - Amsterdam.
How does these passes help with traveling to Amsterdam?

There is a 0917 train from Grindelwald daily - change at Interlaken Ost and Frankfurt (two x ICE trains)- fares start from €74.99 for the whole journey.

The train from Interlaken is Berlin bound.

So a 10 hour journey, but then it is 3 hours to Zurich Airport, add in airport time, flight time, then time into Amsterdam it is close to a 7 hour journey by air. So a 3 hour time penalty, but overall the fare is likely to be more than the train.

Thank you isn31c. I have to rework this one. We want to cover an addtional country other than Switzerland. What is the recommendation that has shortest travel time with least changes in train

As isn31c said, if going to Amsterdam, you will change trains in Frankfurt, which is in Germany. A stop there for a couple of days would work.
