Needing help planning. My husband and I are traveling to Positano in June 2024. We will be staying 5 nights June 3 - 8. We need to be in Paris by June 12 to meet our daughter who will be on a school trip. We don't want to spend more time in Italy because we will be back to do the big sites on a later trip. We've done Cinque Terra, Venice and Nice so are looking for something different. Currently we have a flight to Geneva on June 8, but the more I research, the more I think this is a mistake because we want to see charming towns/villages in Switzerland and are worried that staying on Lake Geneva won't give us this experience, but maybe it will?? We could cut our stay to three nights and then have more time in Paris?
I am needing help/suggestions for June 8 - 12 and would appreciate any and all. My husband and I like to explore and feel the culture of places we visit and have never done a paid excursion. Though we are tourists and love to see the sights, we don't particularly want to feel like being in a herd of cattle and prefer to explore on our own. Maybe this is a mistake but we have encountered some really cool things just by wondering.
