Help finding SBB customer # & linking 1/2 fare card to SBB app

Hello!
I purchased our SBB half fare cards last night and am now trying to get all set up with the SBB app on my phone. I'm trying to link my profile on the app to my customer number. I assume I would have a customer number assigned if I purchased the half fare card, but I can't figure out which number it is? It seems it's supposed to be a 10 digit number. There is one ten digit number on the receipt, and it seemed to work on one place, but now doesn't seem to work.

The numbers on the email confirmation I received are:

Ticket ID: 11 digits
Reference #: 10 digits
Order #: 11 digits

I thought the "reference number" would be the same thing as the customer number, since it is the only one on the e-mailed receipt that is 10 digits, but now it doesn't seem to be working for me when I try to link my Half Fare card to the SBB app on my phone.

Help!

Thanks,
Anne

The customer nr. is something that is linked to a "Swiss Pass", which is a small red plastic card that you can get as a resident, to load commuter subscriptions and ski passes on it.
If you created an account before you bought the Swiss Half Fare Card then it should appear in the app if you just log in with the same date. If you didn't than you have no other option but to just take a printout (the conductor will want to see the QR code). It is not necessary to load the pass in the app to buy half price tickets. You can just select half price when you purchase.

Oh, thank you WengenK! Well, the problem is I'm afraid we might lose the paper copies with our QR code on it. If that happens, is the conductor Ok if we take a picture of the half fare receitp with the QR code on it and show that picture on our phone? A paper copy seems a little risk for a long vacation... :)

maybe print or copy N number of paper copies for each person, one for each piece of luggage or wallet?

As long as you can locate one of them for each person you're ok...

Can you put the half fare card in your Apple Wallet? It works with the STP. And yes, photos with the QR code are accepted.
Enjoy this beautiful country.

Last Sept we just kept a copy of the half fare & Berner Oberland QR codes on our phones in either a file or an app like Dropbox. Worked like a charm. Had a paper copy as backup which we were only asked to show once in 5 days.

Since you are likely to be asked for ID with Half Fare Card, just tuck it in with your passport, your only legal ID.
