Help choosing a base camp

Hi. This is my first time in Europe and Switzerland. I will be traveling with two friends from Paris to Switzerland by train. We are spending a total of 3 nights and we are planning on visiting the following: Oeschinensee summer toboggan and lake, Wengen, Lauterbrunen and Klein Scheidegg. We will be departing from Switzerland and heading to Milan.
Questions:
What town should we choose as base camp?
Is Lauterbrunen better vs Kandersteg?

Your help is very much appreciated :)

Definitely Lauterbrunnen ( or perhaps Wengen). I've been to all these places. You could do Oeschinensee in an afternoon, but the others could keep you busy for a week, in fact, my family will be in Lauterbrunnen for a week this summer for that very reason.
The one thing you MUST do on a clear day is to take the train from Laut. up to Wengen, then walk 10 min thru town to the cable car lift that goes straight up to Mannlichen. From Mannlichen, walk straight toward the mountains for 1.5 hr on one of the best paths in all of Switz. You will end up in Kleine Scheidegg where you can take the train down to Wengen.

On a rainy or misty day, you can walk or take Postbus from Laut. over to Trummelbach Falls (Google image it!)
