Wondering if anyone has taken helicopter tours through Air Glacier or other such providers. Worth it? We’re going in mid-September.
Florida,
I'm sure it would worth it as you'll have an incredible view of the scenery. I've never taken a helicopter tour there, but imagine it's going to be somewhat pricey.
You could also try Paragliding from Mürren for another type of unique view.
It may be nice in the air, not so good for people hiking. I won't mention the environmental damage, so I can't help as I haven't done it.
The views are so spectacular from the ground that I never felt the need for a tour off ground.
We were just in Murren and we were bugged that one helicopter could disturb the quiet for the entire region. The views are amazing without a helicopter.
I appreciate the comments about negative aspects of helicopter tours that fly over areas of natural wonders.

Just to note: helicopters are used for many things, none the least of which are mountain rescues. Last week's fatal accident could very well have been the reason for the helicopter that disturbed you so. I have also seen helicopters moving lumber and many other things, even if there were no tours, you would not be without the occasional flight going by.

I haven't taken a tour like this myself, but have talked with people who did and they found it spectacular
