Have Swiss Travel Pass; is it worthwhile to buy Berner Overland Pass?

Hi, we will be spending 4 of 6 travel days in Switzerland in the Berner Overland area. Has anyone with a Swiss Travel Pass also purchased the BO Pass? And if so, was it worthwhile? It seems pricey given that we already have Swiss Travel Passes...

When you have one pass in hand, the BO pass costs 25% less. But I still would not buy both. If you already have Swiss Travel Passes, did you buy enough days to cover your plans in that region? Is it a consecutive-days version or a flexi pass with or without the Half-Fare feature added?

We have the Swiss Pass-consecutive days version and it covers our stay in the BO area. I am confused about the additional discounts I would get by buying the BO Pass, since we do plan to take many rides on trains and gondolas while in the BO. The BO Pass doesn't seem worth getting in our situation but was wondering if anyone has found it worthwhile to have both passes...?

Agreed that a second pass would not be worthwhile for you. With your consecutive-day pass, you're fully covered on all lower level transportation (trains, buses, boats, lifts as far as Muerren) and then get 50% off from Muerren to Schilthorn and 25% off from Wengen to Jungfraujoch (dotted lines on your Swiss rail map).
