We will have a 2nd class swiss pass and would like to upgrade to first class for the Bernina express. Has anyone done that? If so, how did you do it and what was the cost?

From Chur to Tirano, the price difference between 1st and 2nd class is 47 Swiss francs through SBB, so I expect you'd pay about that much to upgrade, certainly not more. I have only taken that route in regular, 2nd class cars.

I'm not sure whether first class would be worth the extra cost on the Bernina Express, as second class is very comfortable.
