Hello,
Yes my husband and I have been. It's a very small cable car, like 4 or 6 people maximum as I recall. We were hiking from Murren and ended up in Sulwald and took the cable car down. We had the swiss pass, this wasn't completely covered, so we did pay, I can't remember exactly how much. We paid at the bottom, no window at the top. There was a restaurant/inn nearby that we had a nice beer and rest. Then took the bus to Lauterbrunnen to get back to Murren.

Such beautiful country, we wouldn't have sought this cable car out, we were there in August and the hiking there was nicely shaded in the afternoon so that's how we ended up over that way. We were in the area 5 nights, so had more time than most. I would recommend the Schilthorn or Männlichen or Pfingstegg for cool cable cars in the area before this one. Have a wonderful trip!

I made that trip once in order to do the hike up to the Sulsseeli alpine lake to the west of Sulwald. Rigorous for me, but well worth it. Hardly a soul around.

berries20 and fasteddie, thanks for the responses and the information! The Schilthorn is definitely at the top of our list. Sounds like a trip to Sulwald might be an "if we have extra time" activity.

Yes, twice, and it is a lovely respite from the crowds elsewhere. After you hike a bit, descend to Isenfluh once more and have lunch at the Hotel Waldrand on their beautiful terrace. I can highly recommend the Sulwald Burger.

Fasteddie, sorry, at the moment my travel plans don't even include me. ☹ But I'm hopeful we can get to Switzerland in 2021.

Laurel, I appreciate the response and the tip about the Sulwald burger. If we don't make it to Sulwald on our first trip, I will keep it on my list for a future trip. I haven't even been to Switzerland once and I'm already planning multiple trips. 😊
