Half Fare Card & Regional Pass Berner Oberland

Hi,

I'm traveling to Switzerland in August and originally thought the half fare card was the way to go - I recently found this Regional pass that claims all transit within Berner Oberland is covered.
Regional Pass Berner Oberland
Has anyone done this and have tips on how best to utilize these passes?

My trip:
Day 1: Zurich-Luzern-Interlaken-Lauterbrunnen-Grütschalp-Mürren

Day 2: Mürren-Birg-Schilthorn roundtrip, some cable cars for hikes that day (Doing James Bond Brunch/Piz Gloria/Thrill Walk and then returning to hike)

Day 3: Mürren-Grütschalp-Lauterbrunnen-Kleine Scheidegg (Eiger Trail), Maybe visit Wengen some other areas depending on how much time is left

Day 4: Mürren-Grütschalp-Lauterbrunnen -> Exiting Switzerland to Lake Como area, specifically Como, Italy

Any tips/recommendations on the best way to do train passes is appreciated!

How are you planning on the going from Lauterbrunnen to Como? Best way looks like going to Luzern and an EC train from Luzern to Como. So the B-O pass will not help from Zurich airport to Luzern or Luzern to Como.

You might look at getting both the Half Fare Card and the 4-day B-O Pass. The Half Fare Card gives you a 95 CHF reduction on the B-O Pass. Still, the only leg specifically covered by the B-O Pass is Wengen-Kleine Scheidegg. The Schilthornbahn is still only covered at half fare above Muerren with the B-O Pass.

You really need to calculate it both ways to see the lowest cost for the entire trip.
