Guest cards

When we had this perk we did not get the guest card until we checked in. We had to get ourselves to the hotel. It was an easy walk from the train station. This was in the Engadine area, where most hotels provide a guest card for free area transport with a stay of 2 nights or more.

What cities are you referring to?
In most Swiss cities, you receive a Mobility Pass once you check in , which covers local transportation ( buses and trams.) If you have a Swiss Travel Pass, local transportation is covered.

When we got ours a few years ago for Luzern, the hotel emailed the links for them, so it could be downloaded to our phone wallets. Not knowing this, we just got paper copies when we checked in.
