We will be staying in Grindelwald & attending a wedding in Lauterbrunnen in March. Trying to get info, prices & recommendations on the travel between the two.
The BOB goes between the two towns, it's not expensive and only a few minutes. BOB= Berner Oberland Bahn. I would just stay in Lauterbrunnen if you can as it's much cuter than Grindelwald. J
Note that this will be during the ski season, or maybe that's why it's planned then. Closer is better in the winter.
Uss the SBB app for train schedules. If you’re staying in the area for several days and plan to explore the area, a train pass might be a good idea. Look into a Half Fare Card or Berner Oberland Pass.
The Berner Oberland Regional Pass season starts April 1, so that won’t be useful to you. If you intend to ride cable ways to higher elevations, a ski season pass or a Half-Fare Card might be useful. The HFC might alone be enough depending on what you are doing aside from the short trips to-and-from Lauterbrunnen and arrival via Interlaken.
If you tell us your entire itinerary, we may have helpful ideas especially as regards transportation options and passes to decrease your out-of-pocket.
