Grindelwald first and Titlis in early may

Hi, my family of 4 with 2 teens , are visiting Switzerland in first week of May. The kids are interested in the ice flyer at titlis and the various activities at first like glider, zip line and the go karts.
Will all of the above activities be open in early May.
We would also like to stay in grindelwad area for 4 days , is it better than staying at Interlaken area in early May?

Re Titlis. The cable cars are open to take you to the top 12 months of the year, as are most of the attractions.
For the particular things you list, I suggest you look on their website: https://titlis.ch/en

Grindelwald (or Mürren, Wengen or Lauterbrunnen) are all preferable to Interlaken. They are in the mountain massif, Interlaken is in the main valley, at the mouth of the side valley that goes to those 4 places. You always have to go via Interlaken arriving or leaving.
This "map" explains the geography of the area: http://www.mappery.com/maps/Jungfrau-Grindelwald-region-summer-map.jpg

Will grindelwad be ok to stay as we will be there in first week of May as I had heard that posts of restaurants and hotels are closed with construction going on to prepare for the high season?

Mountain activities are open, so at least some hotels and restaurants will be taking your business. Nothing ever completely shuts down, except maybe a beach resort in January. Just look at booking.com to test that hypothesis.
