Is there a cost to visit First to look around even if you don't do the activities other than the cliff walk, have a snack at the restaurant, and maybe walk to Bachalpsee lake? What is the cost to get there from Grindelwald if traveling on a Swiss Travel Pass?

There is a cost to go up in the cable car. 68 CHF for an adult. 50% discount. With a swiss travel pass. You can find all this and more info on their website.
The station is in grindelwald so if you are staying there you could just walk or get the bus.

To clarify - it's 38 chf with the Swiss Travel Pass, which is 50% off the full price. You can always see the pricing for anything you're curious about on SBB.ch/en or the SBB app. Pricing defaults to half fare card pricing and it would be helpful for you to study the validity map of the Swiss Travel Pass ahead of your travels so you know what's included.
