Have stayed in Lauterbrunnen years ago and fog prevented us to see the view from the Schilthorn.
We will be in the Berner Oberland for 3 days (train from Montreux to Interlakken - Grindelwald. (Day 1)
We are thinking Grindelwald as a base as we do want to take the train to the Jungfrau.(Day 2)
Day 3 relax and enjoy the scenery.
I Grindelwald a good choice to stay?

If you want to see Schilthorn, Jungfraujoch and relax to enjoy the view, I suggest Wengen.

Grindelwald is so busy with lots of traffic. I much prefer the mostly car free Wengen. You can easliy get to Jungfrau from Wengen.

Not unless you enjoy cars, crowds and lots of tourism shops. I also recommend Wengen and if you want to visit Grindelwald, the tram to get to it is right in town, easy to use and the views are beautiful.
