We are flying into Zurich on 9/30 in at 9:30 am going directly to Grindelwald. Recommendations on easiest and quickest options to Grindelwald
Staying in Grindelwald until the 4th.

There is a direct train from Zurich airport to Interlaken Ost at 10:45 am, which you should be able to make easily, then connect to train to Grindelwald. If the timing does not work, don't worry as there are other frequent trains requiring more connections.
There are frequent trains from Zurich to the airport, like every 10 minutes.

When you arrive in Zurich go to the SBB ticket office, and get the Half Fare Card. This costs 120,- but gives you 50% off on all the train tickets and the mountain excursions you plan. If there are any children under 16 in your party they then go for free.

Yes, but you must request a free Family Card when you buy the Half Fare Card, and list the children’s names and ages on it. The HFC alone does not provide the free ride benefit.
