Golf Grindelwald

I really like golf. I always check to see if there are any courses near my destination. I will be in Murren for 4 nights this September, and to my surprise, there is a small 9 hole course just outside of Grindelwald.. We are planning on a day in Grindelwald. I am sure I could carve out 3 hours for 9 holes while my wife shops. Question, is anyone familiar with the course? It looks like I could take the 122 bus to the course (6 minutes), anyone ever ridden that bus?.

I realize golf is not the first thing people think of when in the BO, but as a golfer, how cool to play in the shadow of the Eiger!!!

Thanks Mike, that is helpful. BTW, I graduated SUNY New Paltz in 1989.. Nice town..

You can actually just go to www.sbb.ch/en and type in Muerren to Gindelwald Golf and see the schedule. Next to last stop is Grindewald train station where wifey can get off for shopping.

Does fitting in a golf bag put a kink in travelling light? Seriously - do you travel the world with a golf bag as well as other luggage? How? I find humping a golf bag off the trolley hard on my back.

Oh no.. I do not travel with my clubs, unless it is purely a golfing trip. They rent clubs at this golf course.... One of these days, when I go golfing in Ireland or Scotland, I'll bring my clubs!!!
