Hope that someone has had some experience in booking along the Golden Pass route and can provide guidance on how to manage the reservation. Have not found the website in the Steves guide to be easy to navigate. We would like to travel from Lucerne to Montreux and then on to Lausanne in late October. Suggestions would be gratefully appreciated.

The only portion I would bother to reserve would be Zweisimmen-Montreux, which offers the nose-cone "VIP" seats in 1st class. Otherwise, it takes 3 separate fees to reserve the whole plan of train connections. But it should be easier using the tips at http://www.mob.ch/en/reservation-procedure.

I believe the "VIP" seats are no longer available beginning September as MOB is refurbishing these lead cars.
