Golden Pass Seat Upgrade Online in Advance?

Hello Fellow Travelers,

Quick question about seat upgrades on the Golden Pass Line. I reserved second class seats from Interlaken Ost to Zweisimmen, and first-class seats from Zweisimmen to Montreux. Then today I bought tickets online for the whole journey. But I did not see a way to upgrade to first class for the Zweisimmen to Montreux leg. I’m pretty sure I can do that once in Switzerland, right? But I’d really prefer to take care of it ahead of time. Is there a way to do this online?

Online, it would probably have been easiest to book two separate tickets, each in the preferred class. There may be other options remaining but I think it would be easiest to pay for the upgrade at any staffed train station.

I did the same thing and used the SBB app to purchase an upgrade the morning of the trip. Super easy!

Mp125, thanks for the app thought. Don’t want to take our phones off airplane mode in Switzerland, for fear of crazy high charges. But maybe I could use the app to upgrade now, in the US? Though you’d think it would be easy to do on the SBB website. I don’t see how to do it though. Will probably just do it at a train station after we arrive.
