Staying Sachseln, on the rail line between Luzern and Interlaken, How does one intercept the Golden Pass train at this station? Want to go to Montreux, stay overnight, return via Golden Pass to Sachseln. When I use SBB timetables, check out their Panorama train info
for times connections, etc., I cannot seem to find the Golden Pass trains with panorama cars, that Rick talks about from Interlaken to Montreux. Thanks for any advice/help.

You really do not need to reserve the “special” sightseeing train between Lucerne and Interlaken. We just took the regular one and the scenery was stunning, no problems whatsoever being able to see out of the regular windows.
The Golden Pass is a marketing name for a route, not one through train. You have to change trains:
1) Luzern to Interlaken
2) Interlaken via Spiez to Zweisimmen (sometimes you have to change at Spiez as well)
3) Zweisimmen to Montreux
The train with panoramic cars runs on the last section: Zweisimmen to Montreux, not Luzern to Interlaken.

These are not the only trains on this route. Like all rail lines in Switzerland, it has at least one train per hour.
So just get any one of the hourly trains from Luzern to Interlaken, they all stop at Sachseln.
If you look on the SBB site, you can see the trains:
06:06 depart Luzern, 06:28 Sachseln, 07:55 arrive Interlaken Ost
07:06 depart Luzern, 07:28 Sachseln, 08:55 arrive Interlaken Ost
08:06 depart Luzern, 08:28 Sachseln, 09:55 arrive Interlaken Ost
And so on every hour throughout the day. Swiss trains are boringly clockwork predictable.
Thank you so much for informative, prompt replies.
