Like the ticket brokers here in the states it appears tour companies get early access to seat reservations. Yes I know the 93 day window and it opens at 0100 Swiss local time. If you are ready to go at the time you will see Excellence Class is gone. I would never pay that premium and most of the second train’s First Class seats are gone as well. Switzerland is expensive enough already and it is a shame these tour operators can grab many of these premium seats before us regular folks can. Rant over.
