Getting from St. Moritz to Munich Germany

Hi I will be traveling April 4 through the 17 flying in and out of Zurich.
4/4- arrive in Zurich 12pm check in hotel
4/5- departure to Lauterbrunnen stay vrbo for four nights
4/9 depart to Zermatt 2 nights
4/11 catch the Glacier Express to St. Moritz
Ok here is the hitch I need a car to drive 4.5 hours on the 12th to Munich or at least get to that area . The car rental is closed on sat and Sunday and we really were planning on getting a car to drive on 12th to munich Germany. Can we hire a car in St. Moritz or somewhere closer ?.ugh and I really like the rentals I have lined up hate to change the schedule. The train is an option but does it really take 6 or 7 hrs to get by train to Munich? Is there somewhere else in Germany I can get that might be closer that would be nice to visit for a night or day ? Help I need suggestions for this leg of the trip . We want to spend 12 til 16 in Munich area and the catch a plane from Munich to Zurich 17th to catch our flight home 5:30pm in Zurich bk to the states. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Plus it all falls on Easter weekend.

Do you mean the car rental? Did that include the one-way drop fee to rent a car in Switzerland and drop it in Germany? If so, maybe you should drive from Munich to Zurich instead of fly to avoid a drop fee.

You can certainly get a rental car at Zurich airport on Easter Sunday. It is a 3 hour and 40 minutes train ride. Then a 3 1/2 hour drive to Zurich. So now you have spent 7 hours plus the time to actually do the transaction and get the car, same as just taking a train.

Another thing, if you will actually be IN Munich with a Swiss car, it will need an umweltplakatte (German pollution certification sticker). A German rental car will already have one.
