A few days ago, I came across this article on TheLocal.CH https://www.thelocal.ch/20210707/how-to-get-switzerlands-immunity-card-in-your-swiss-canton/. Wondering if I could benefit on arrival in the Valais later this month, I applied and today my certificate was uploaded to the app on my phone. Note that in the article are the links to get the app for iPhone or Android.
It took a bit of clicking around to find the site for the Valais, which is here https://tracing-valais.ch/fr/certificat. My process was as follows:
- downloaded the app and when there was an opportunity to generate a code, I did so
- filled out the form on the website including attaching documents which included the front and back of my CDC card and a printout from my healthcare provider showing my vaccinations. (I was able to get this document from MyChart for those who may have that as part of their healthcare system.)
- at the end of the form, I entered the code generated by the app. I did this Sunday or Monday and today I found the QR code had been generated on the app. I did not get an email notification.
Apparently each canton has a different method, but this worked for me, in the first canton we will visit. Maybe if will be honored in Italy when we go there in late September? We shall see!
