Geneva. Train journeys and easy sightseeing

We are going to Geneva as an end point to a cruise. We have been to Lucerne, the BO,. We took the panoramic train from Lucerne to Interlaken on to Montroix on Lake Geneva. Sorry for spelling.
Looking for suggestions for similar train voyages that are scenic and which would be from Geneva or an easy link.
Other suggestions for sightseeing which minimized walking are appreciated. Dad can walk but we like to keep the distance down. We plan on 3 to 4 days.
My dream would be the Bernina Express but not sure how that would be doable.
Going in late April early May. Air not booked so can fly to NYC from wherever we are closest to.
Thanks

In Geneva, you could go the CERN if you are interested in physics/math etc. The tour is excellent. We needed to get tickets 2 week in advance though it may of changed. We tried to go the UN office, but there was a huge demonstration so we couldn't get close. We weren't terribly fond of Geneva. Vevey, Lausanne and Montreau were more interesting to us. Close to Geneva is Chamonix and Annency, in France.

Bernina Express is all the way across the country. You could do it but to just get to Chur where it starts is a 4 to 4 and a half hour train trip with a very short connection in Zurich. So a day there, a day on the Bernina Express and a day back.

You could plan to fly home from Milan, so take your time getting to Chur, maybe look around Zurich on the way and enjoy the Bernina Express, then a couple of hours towards Malpensa airport via Milan from the end of the ride in Tirano.

But at the end of the day, Geneva is at the wrong side of Switzerland...
