We will have a February Saturday late afternoon in Geneva and would like an old town tour guide. Party of four. Then looking for an old town restaurant. Any recommendations?
Hello! I hope you enjoy Geneva as much as I did. I lived there for some time. I want to recommend you a lovely and quaint restaurant, Café du Soleil (https://www.cafedusoleil.ch/). They are known for their fondue! It is a must visit! Just make your reservation ahead of time.
Regarding Old Town tours, if I can direct you to two points of interest that you could spend your time at that would be far more interesting than walking the cobblestone alone! Pop in to visit St Pierre Cathedral. You can't miss it - literally; very imposing and beautiful. Be sure to check out the small chapel in the back right (easy to miss, but you certainly don't want too!) Occasionally they will have organ recitals, both publicly ticketed but also randomly throughout the week, so perhaps you may stumble upon one!
Not too far from St Pierre is the International Museum of the Reformation. As an avid museum lover and religious scholar, I have to say this museum is by far one of the best I have visited around the world. Very informative, well laid out, and not super time-consuming considering its size.
Hope this helps! Enjoy
