Geneva airport opens at 4am — flight departs at 6:55am (?)

The Geneva airport opens at 4am.

Our Geneva to Frankfurt departure leaves at 6:55am (“Lufthansa ticket, operated by Swiss”).
What time should we be at Geneva airport?

At 4am?

(Will the “Lufthansa ticket/operated by Swiss” counter be open?)
We need to check our luggage.

(If it matters, our connecting Lufthansa flight is from Frankfurt to SeaTac, and it departs at 10:45am).

The airport's website recommends arriving 2 hours before your departure, but you should also check the website of your airline ( the one you are actually flying by on, not the one you are ticketed on.)

Geneva Airport is a breeze with Swiss efficiency. With both Switzerland and Germany having dropped Covid requirements ( other than wearing a mask ) 90 minutes ahead of your flight should be fine as long as you have checked in online in advance. The airport train from downtown Geneva’s Gare Cornavin will get you to the airport in 6 minutes.

I've slept at a fancy in-airport hotel once, before a early flight in winter (didn't want to take any chances with the weather). I absolutely loved it and look forward to doing it again. Unfortunately for me, every flight I've had since then has been late afternoon. But next time I have an early flight, and the airport has a Fairmont or Hyatt or something right in the airport, I'll stay there.
