Geneva airport

Just some questions regarding Geneva airport. We will be getting the train from Montreux and arriving at 11.44am to Geneva airport for our 2pm flight.

Is 2hrs 15 enough to get through security/passport control?. We will have already checked in online and are only taking and luggage.

My understanding is when you arrive at the train station there is a supermarket nearby in the airport.. migros?. I was hoping to buy a packaged sandwich here and take it through security with me. Being there are limited and expensive options the other side of security. Is this possible?

Can you take sandwiches through security? Assuming I will need to keep it outside of my bag in the tray?

Just wondering where you are flying to and what time of year and day of the week. Sometimes, 2 hours is not enough time, especially if you are looking for a grocery store.

The GVA website should show you stores and location, before or after security.

Since it is a non-Schengen flight, maybe a bit more time is in order.
There is also a direct train at 9:49 that will get you there by 11:05.

The Migros is beneath the parking lot outside Halle 7.

The is also an "Everything You Need" store past security by the gates that has a deli.

Not sure if Sam is talking about the same Migros, but there is also one on the level
above the railroad tracks, at the far end of the rail terminal area (away from the airport
terminal entrance.

There are also other food opportunities in the rail terminal, but the Migros is the best
selection and pricing by far. I don't think you'll have any issues bringing solid food through
security.

2:15, in my opinion, is enough to make a UK flight, if that is the amount of time you actually
have. If you have to transfer at Cornavin and miss a train, or, diddle around in the grocery
store, well, then, it could get problematic. But not having to check luggage essentially
means you just have to turn up at the gate. Keep in mind you might end up taking a bus
to the plane, which reduces your ability to get to the gate at the last minute. And I think
you may need to do a passport check, which is trivial, unless there's a line.
