Hello,
What are the GA Travel Cards that can be "attached" to a Swiss Travel Pass? Are they increased discounts? It seems like they do the same thing (free travel) as the Swiss Travel Pass.
Thank you,Nancy

Hi, Nancy. I think you've misread something. There briefly used to be a Half-Fare Card that you could add to use on the in-between days of a Flexi pass, but not this year. This year, a consecutive-day Swiss Travel Pass often makes more sense, since you need to use counted pass days for both the full coverage and the discounted benefits.
The GA Travel Card is a full coverage option for residents.
The GA (General Abonnement ) is a pass that covers all public transport in Switzerland for 1 year.
There are various versions at different prices, 1st class, 2nd class, students and adults etc. It is mainly aimed at Swiss residents. In order to get one you need a Swiss address, as it renews automatically, every year they send you a bill by post. Physically the GA is stored on a machine readable card, called a "SwissPass" (not a Swiss Travel Pass), which can also be used for other passes.
Details here: https://www.sbb.ch/en/travelcards-and-tickets/railpasses/ga.html
The Swiss Travel Pass is a short-term equivalent designed for tourists.
Thank you. That helps!
