I have to say, it did not look scary at all. But I think if I ever decided to paraglide, I’d want to do it over Lauterbrunnen.
My husband and I did that on a whim last month in Murren with AirTime Paragliding. It was the coolest thing we have ever done. We both agreed it will be hard to find a more beautiful place to paraglide on future travels.
it's definitely a place to do it, but as others have suggested, perhaps it's best to try it first at home and see if you can do it at all.
It would be like buying new shoes just before a trip and never breaking them in.
Thanks for posting. Back in 2005, we could watch the paragliders from the windows of our hotel in Interlaken. The hotel owner is featured on an RSE Switzerland episode.
I’m signed up with AirTime to paraglide on August 22nd. Based on all of the great reviews, I decided to go for it. I can’t wait.

My sister and I have gone paragliding with Sky Wings in Interlaken twice. We loved it. Obviously, as after first time we couldn't wait to go back to Switzerland to do it again! It is something that shouldn't be missed. We are both in our 70's!
