We will be traveling by train from Fussen to Switzerland after 3pm on Wed., Oct 22. I was trying to look up connections to get us to Murren that evening, but could not find a route. I did see that we could get to Interlaken. Would you recommend staying in Interlaken for the 3 days we have in Switzerland or move up to Murren for the final 2 days? Thanks!

Your 6 or 7 hour train to Interlaken Ost arrives at 22:57; the last train up the hill is at 20:02, unless you want bus to Lauterbrunnen and bus to stechelberg and cable car arriving just before midnight.

If you decide to stay in Interlaken the first night, definitely spend the next two nights in Murren. It is heaven on earth. You are in the Alps and the views are fantastic. I was just there. Maybe check on the weather in late October and to make sure there are hotels and restaurants open then.
