I've planned a Cheese & Chocolate day, leaving from Montreux, traveling on our own (not with the Chocolate Train). We'll visit Gruyeres and then continue on to Broc-Fabrique. While we are in Gruyeres, I'm trying to decide whether to add a visit to Funiculaire Moleson sur Gruyeres (obviously depending on good weather that particular day).
Is it discounted with the Swiss Travel Pass? Is it worth the side trip for two adults? Or am I trying to do too much in one day?
The bus from Gruyeres to Moleson Village is covered by the pass (solid line) and the connection to Le Moleson is discounted 50% (dotted line), per the pass coverage map. Have you seen their own web site, too?
Thanks Laura. Off topic, but when I look closely at the map you reference there is a dotted (not solid) line between Visp and Spiez. I have assumed that our Swiss Travel Passes cover our journey from Zermatt to Lauterbrunnen completely. Is this not the case?!?
Not an unusual question - those dashed lines are long tunnels on the route, fully covered by the pass.
